The Epic of Gilgamesh, thousands of years old, is often identified as the earliest surviving poem. In the story, Gilgamesh, King of Uruk in modern-day Iraq, mourns his wild-dwelling friend Enkidu. I acknowledge the bravery of the first poet who tried to describe grief.
La Epopeya de Gilgamesh, que tiene miles de años, con frecuencia se identifica como el poema más temprano que sobrevive. En la trama, Gilgamesh, el Rey de Uruk en el actual Irak, lamenta a su amigo Enkidu quien vivía en la naturaleza. Reconozco el coraje del primer poeta que intentó describir la pesadumbre.
